TEAM LEADER - FMCG SECTOR
Our client is a very well established and successful business that operates on an International basis. They now have a requirement for a newly formed role of Sales Order Processing Manager. You will be based at Head Office and be responsible for managing a busy Sales Order Processing Team.
This role is critical to the business and we require a confident, motivated and professional individual who has great communication skills and experience of managing and motivating teams. The important elements to the role are someone who has experience of processing FMCG orders for major retailers, dealing with 3PL and or knowledge of export processes.
Key Duties:
* Supervise the Sales Order Processing Team to ensure that customer expectations are met and exceeded in relation to processing and despatching orders. Ensuring optimum customer satisfaction levels met at all times
* Working with large and small retailers both within the UK and overseas
* Managing all export documentation
* Working with 3PL providers
* Liaison with other departments such as Buying, Sales and Technical to set up new accounts
* Hold regular team meetings and conduct appraisals. Responsible for monitoring all activity and performance and setting goals and objectives. Identifying any areas for improvement of efficiency of the team
* Measure and report on performance of the team and attend Management meetings
* Create, complete and report KPI's
* Manage the accuracy of the Sale Order System
* Implement any necessary training requirements
* Responsible for any escalated customer issues and be main point of contact for customers and ensure any issues are resolved efficiently and in a professional manner. Develop good customer relationships over the phone, via email, etc.
* Responsible for any credit issues and liaise with Credit Control team
* Liaison with the Buying team regarding product availability
* Oversee all documentation for export shipments such as certificates of origin, letters of credit etc.
* Organise any necessary inspections and liaise with external agencies as required
* Work closely with the Warehouse team in relation to dispatch of orders to customers
* Preparing and producing Management Reports for Management meetings
* Liaison with Account Managers as required regarding any customer issues
Skills required:
* Experience of Sales Order Processing within FMCG and working with 3PL providers
* Ability to communication with customers in a confident and professional manner
* Experience of shipping Dangerous Goods
* Export documentation
* Supervisory experience (an advantage)
* Good analytical and numerical skills
* Knowledge of Export Legislation
