Cloud IT Engineer


Full time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday


£32,000 - £35,000 per annum based on experience + 25 days holiday + pension + free parking + performance related bonus

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and experienced Cloud IT Engineer to join a growing business located in Wrexham. The successful candidate will have an appetite for Cloud Computing, be required to uphold high levels of customer service, technical expertise and support their fellow colleagues. You will be the go-to person for the support and deployment of the IT infrastructure, which as the role title alludes is predominantly cloud based. A key requirement is to be able to prioritise your own workload effectively. Key Duties

·Provide 2nd & 3rd line IT support to internal customers and liaise with any 3rd party suppliers as needed to resolve any issues.

·Troubleshoot high level IT Cloud IaaS, Hardware and Software issues and contribute to solving more complex business challenges in IT.

·Ensure full compliance with all IT and business processes.

·Take a pro-active approach to understand the challenges the IT team face, helping them to deliver and continually improve the service all round.

·Have a pragmatic approach to problem solving and be open to change.

·Complete ad-hoc tasks as and when required.

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have the following experience:


·Troubleshooting, deploying and managing Windows Services 2012 R2, and 2016 in a cloud environment.

·Deploying and managing laptops based on Windows 10

·Amazon AWS or Azure experience

·Office 365

·VOIP based telephony solutions.


·Backup and disaster recovery.

·Solid knowledge of Computer Network infrastructure; DHCP, DNS, Routers, Switches, VPN and Firewalls.


·Hyper-V virtulised environments.

·Active Directory and Group Policy management.

·Microsoft SQL DBA/Queries.

·Crystal Report Writing,

·Firewalls (e.g. Checkpoint)

·Web programming skills or knowledge of WordPress.


·Good communication skills both written and verbal.

·Energetic and enthusiastic team player.

·A desire to take ownership and responsibility for their own development.

·Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure, work to own initiative and manage time effectively.
