Marshall Moore are excited to be working with a successful and established organisation based in Liverpool city centre who are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Finance Director the successful candidate will be ensure the finance function is ensuring efficient and accurate posting of all transactions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a business who can offer an excellent career path along with a comfortable working environment.

Key responsibilities for the Assistant Accountant will include;
  • Recording bank/cheque receipts
  • Banking deposits and collections
  • Credit card posting and reconciliations
  • Maintain both purchase and sales ledgers
  • Management of payment authorisation
  • Analysing cashbook and nominal ledger for income and expenditure
  • Managing of client damages and disbursements

Essential Requirements
  • Experience within a legal environment would be an advantage
  • Strong IT skills
  • Comfortable dealing with Excel spreadsheets and reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
