As a finance analyst in Overheads you will be joining the Overheads and IT Finance Team which sits within the wider Performance and Planning Team. The aim of the role is to provide effective business partnering to key departments, namely Finance, MD, Legal, Airline & Pensions within TUI UK&I, providing detailed support on managing spend and owning the budgeting and forecasting for these areas. You will be holding regular meetings with cost centre owners and presenting at senior and board level meetings.Your role will need to provide and constantly develop an effective suite of reports, KPIs and business information that serves the needs of the wider business, FP&A and other Finance teams. You will also support the Overheads Finance Manager in delivering and maintaining service level agreements with the overhead divisions.The role will act as a key interface between the Performance & Planning team and its internal and external customers; including FP&A, Central Accounting (Intercompany), internal and external auditors and statutory authorities. The role promotes collaborative team-working, improved co-ordination of activities and promotes improved ways of working.This role also includes management responsibilities with one direct report who will support you with a number of business as usual tasks.
What you will be doingBusiness Partnering - you will act as the Finance Business Partner to your cost centre managers, providing regular updates through face to face meetings and production of reports and data to facilitate decision making. Support departments in identifying ways of reducing costs and challenging existing processes where appropriate. Inputs into production of monthly presentations to Department Directors and other senior staff.P&L - Support in all areas of performance reporting for overheads including month end management, variance analysis and forecasting.Balance Sheet - Responsible for reconciling and managing areas of the balance sheet promoting compliance with the financial accounting processes, ensuring a robust balance sheet. You must work towards a good understanding of underlying accounting policies, processes and records in order to attain optimal financial performance for the business and preserving the integrity of the financial ledgers connected with your cost centres. You will need to provide on-going back up supporting documentation for your balances and provide to internal and external audit when requested.Forecasting cycle - plays a key role in the production of 5 Year Plans, budgets and monthly forecasts for own cost centres and wider overheads divisions for all TUI UK&I companies.Gap management - Monitoring and challenge of Risk and Opportunities.Central Overheads - to act as deputy to Overheads Finance Manager, supporting the HFM reporting, consolidation of all overheads numbers, journal approvals and balance sheet management as required.Management - the role includes the management and development of one direct report.Other areas of responsibility include (but not limited to) working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data integrity and security, and working with the Finance Manager to manage the audit relationships, from financial auditors and government bodies.
