Recruiting for a Accountant to work for a well established client based in Wilmslow. This is a fulltime permanent role working Monday to Friday paying a basic salary of GBP20,000 per annum. The main role of the Accountant is to provide a professional service to the client preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations, ensuring all company returns are met within HMRC/Companies House guidelines. About The Role:
  • Responsibility of managing a client base of 150 Clients, ensuring deadlines are met, and delegating where necessary.
  • Prepare and submit year end statutory accounts and corporation tax computations, monthly payroll and personal tax returns.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns with enough time to deal with any queries that may arise.
  • Carry out client reviews as and when needed, and advise clients on the most tax efficient way of running their limited company.
  • Maintain and build relationships with all clients both new and existing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with other departments to ensure an integrated approach to achieving an excellent working environment.
  • Review clients portal ensuring everything is entered correctly and kept up to date.
  • Look at different areas of the business to see where changes can be made to improve the current processes and procedures in place.


Essential Skills & Experience
  • Able to identify any issues and descrepancies so they need a good eye for detail
  • knowledge of Xero is desirable
  • Able to manage customer relations
  • Able to use company in house CRM system and have advanced IT Skills in word and Excel
  • AAT Level 3 & 4 is desirable but not essential
  • Minimum of one to two years experience within a similiar position
  • Experience in both practice and industry would be considered
