Senior Household Pricing Analyst: Ageas are looking for a Senior Pricing Analyst to lead the pricing of the non-standard household products including personal accident, special risk and travel products, to join our busy Pricing team in our Head Office in Eastleigh. As a Senior Pricing Analyst you will act as a senior member of the Pricing team, leading with excellent behaviours and acting as a coach and mentor to more junior members of the team.

As a Senior Pricing Analyst you will work with Underwriting to evaluate new schemes, affinities and product propositions and to decide or recommend, as appropriate, optimum pricing to generate profitable growth. In addition,you will be responsible, from a pricing prospective, for the provision of technical support in meetings with Ageas' key business partners, when necessary. You will own and provide support to various projects and product initiatives using superior analytical skills to build up granular KPIs to monitor and assess emerging performance. In order to outperform the market, Ageas relies on the ability to quickly identify areas of good and poor performance, and analysing trends and to react rapidly by adjusting rates and underwriting rules. The Senior Pricing Analysts are responsible for ensuring all aspects of the pricing of the Ageas portfolio are monitored appropriately, for analysing the results and for making decisions or recommendations on suitable actions. In addition, as a Senior Pricing Analyst you will be expected to innovate new and improved pricing and management information, utilising their skill sets in SAS and understanding of the WTW suite of pricing tools (Emblem and Radar).

Here's the experience you need to be successfully considered for our Senior Pricing Analyst;
  • A background in personal lines insurance pricing and expertise in understanding pricing and underwriting principles.
  • Knowledge of non-standard Household products and market.
  • Excellent portfolio monitoring skills. Able to produce, monitor and interpret various KPIs to ensure top and bottom lines are performing to target. Good understanding of P&Ls.
  • A high degree of numeracy with excellent statistical skills to analyse trends and understand modelling techniques. A curious and inquisitive analyst with a flair for manipulating and interpreting data and an ability to draw out relevant insight and commercially viable recommendations.
  • Highly computer literate with advanced data analytical skills to interrogate trends and drill down to the core of a problem.
  • Knowledge of Excel and SAS. Good understanding of Radar and Emblem would be desirable.
  • Ability to work with people at all levels and across sites with the ability to support and coach other members of the team and foster good working relationships internally and externally. Demonstrates timely and open communication and is diplomatic when dealing with others.
  • Flexibility to adopt appropriate behaviour given the situation and audience, always acts with integrity, openness and honesty, positive and enthusiastic.
  • A clear, concise and articulate communicator, with excellent skills in explaining to both internal and external stakeholders pricing decisions based on detailed analysis.
