This established company manufactures and supplies high-end joinery and furniture to the commercial sector and prestigious residential clients throughout London and the south-east.

Their new divisional office in Farringdon, Central London opened in February 2018 to meet the growing demands of their clients and bring their project management team closer to the action.

Adding to their existing London team, they are excited to be recruiting a flexible Business Development Manager. This is a newly formed role providing the right candidate with plenty of scope to make the role their own.

Main responsibilities include:

- Develop a strong understanding of the company's existing client base, company ethos and positioning in the Bespoke Furniture and Joinery market.
- Formulate a sales strategy to be signed off by the Managing Director.
- Successfully develop and maintain business relations with commercial clients, architects, and interior designers.
- Act as the first point call for all new enquiries ensure they are qualified accordingly.
- Regularly organise and attend external meetings with existing clients.
- Attend relevant industry events, including networking sessions.
- Act as a company ambassador, projecting a positive image of the company.
- Attend internal meetings as required.
- Follow up all enquiries, focusing on closing new business as well as providing ongoing support.
- Create a detailed requirements specification for handover to the pre-contracts team.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Good understanding of the Bespoke Furniture and Joinery industry with minimum 3 years experience.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident in engaging potential clients, cold calling and building a strong rapport.
- Able to plan and prioritise their workload.
- Able to work autonomously.
- Be confident in face to face sales meetings.
- Be highly organised and work to client deadlines, where applicable.
- Advanced use of Microsoft packages.
- Full driving licence.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £30k to £40k Basic Salary + Bonus - Negotiable, plus other benefits including a contributory pension scheme.
