Sales Manager (Engineering) - Watton - £30,000 to £40,000 plus commission

An international manufacturing business in Watton are looking to hire an experienced Sales Manager with a background in Engineering to take responsibility for a portfolio of UK and European clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven Sales professional with an Engineering degree to further their career with a growth orientated businesses.

Responsibilities will include:

* Sales & marketing of engineered product range, mainly within the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical and Power generation sectors.

* Development of the European market, including the UK, Europe and Russia.

* Seek out clients (including Oil & Gas end users) within engineering, procurement and construction contractors, as well as local agents.

* Achieve agreed sales targets and accurate order target projections for all engineered product sales within the region.

* Manage engineered product sales, including customer identification, enquiry generation, price setting, T&C's clarifications, contract negotiations and Project handover.

* Liaise with Marketing to give regional input.

* Manage sales activities, including client visits, project identification and vendor approval.

* Present to major operators and contractors

* Identification and development of new markets.

* Product development and certification requirements.

* Review Profit & Loss of contracts delivered with Project managers

* Take ownership of sales budget and P&L

* Prepare and complete Monthly Sales Report

* Review specifications and design standards

* Attend and manage trade shows as appropriate

* Maintain travel budget

As part of your role, you'll be required to travel overseas and meet with prospective clients (at least 50% of your time) with the rest of your time spent on site in Watton, working with the wider teams as per the requirements above.

In order for your application to be successful, you will need the following skills and experience:

* Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering (or similar) is preferred.

* Experience selling to the Oil & Gas or Petro-chemical industry.

* Good analytical skills.

* Effective communication and presentation skills.

* Experience working at a Senior level, within a technical environment.

* European language skills will be preferred but not essential

* Ability to effectively negotiate with clients and position as a differentiated product provider.
