As the lead on Match Day Safety you will prepare for and deliver events at the Stadium including fulfilling paperwork obligations and undertaking the role of Safety Officer on event days. As Head of Match Day Safety you will be responsible for ensuring the Stadium meets the legislation and regulation requirements to enable all activities to take place in a safe and controlled environment. The Safety Officer will establish suitable systems and controls for the safety and security of spectators and all other persons in the Stadium. Full compliance in accordance with the current document "Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds" (also referred to as The Green Guide) is central to the role and will be required to ensure that the Safety Certificate and the Stadium Safety Policy are adhered to.

* Applicants must have a NVQ4 Certificate in Spectator Safety or nearly completed.

* Strong planning skills, developing detailed plans.

* Must have a flexible and resilient attitude

* Highly skilled in the use of information technology for this type of role.

* A proven team working who is capable of developing and maintaining relationships across the organisation.

* Inspirational in leading a team of stewards.

* Experience of innovative and proactive approach to stadium safety management.

* Must have evidenced experience of fulfilling a similar role of spectator safety management at sporting events

* Experience of working and liaising with the Safety Advisory Groups and emergency services

* Demonstrate a knowledge of sports ground safety legislation and football spectator legislation

* Knowledge of safety certification of Sports Grounds

* Working knowledge of the 'Guide to Safety at Sports Grounds - 6th edition' and similar guidance

* Working knowledge of the Football Authority's regulations and guidance covering crowd management and spectator safety

* Personal circumstances must allow the candidate to work extended and flexible hours

* The ability to communicate to a high standard with clients, public, contractors and staff at all levels, both within and outside the business

* Must be "customer service" driven

* Must have a hands-on and practical approach

* Must demonstrate the highest professional standards of operation and service

* Must be able to work with little supervision and manage time and priorities accordingly
