This company is an award winning UK textile innovator, independently owned, specialising in the design & manufacture of contract upholstery fabrics for commercial interiors and mass passenger transport. The company is based in the UK's West Yorkshire textile heartland, with additional manufacturing in Lithuania and Nottingham, from where it extends global reach into some 80 countries worldwide via established offices, warehousing and distribution channels in Europe, North America, China and Australia. This company sells over 8 million metres of fabric a year for use in commercial offices, banks, government departments, universities, NHS, cinema, auditoria and transportation applications in buses, coaches, trains and underground.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure any poor quality fabric is contained preventing dispatch to customers, both physically and on the system (including de-allocation) whilst reporting issues to the relevant team in a timely fashion thereby reducing impact on the customer.
2. To manage the outbound verification process by effective communication with customer services on known or repeat issues, including timescales for Quality checks.
3. To manage the Quality helpdesk calls in an efficient and timely manner, whilst recording assessment results and maintaining the quality inspection database.
4. Provide support for the customer liaison, and sales team/s, including customer visits if necessary.
5. Control and manage all stock movements from the warehouse both physically and on the system, whilst maintaining stock accuracy
6. Communication to relevant departments the results of Inbound & BOF verification assessment & testing and where applicable the effect on our ability to deliver conforming product;
7. Supplier visits where necessary to verify product compliance to meet company and their customer's expectation, including compliance to the tagging procedure
8. Support the CCR process, from receipt of customer concern up to and including effective CCR close out.
9. To manage daily activities in a positive manner with a clear focus on Customer Satisfaction, and quality improvement

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

- Knowledge of textile fault awareness and identification
- Proven history / experience of inspecting Textile fabrics
- Knowledge of AS400 is desirable
- Knowledge of all Microsoft packages in particular Microsoft Excel.
