EMEA Accounting Manager required for a fantastic company based in Slough. Reporting to the Director Accounting EMEA, this position is responsible for General accounting and Accounts payable activities for the company's EMEA business operations across 15 legal entities.

  • Responsible for maintaining general ledger and AP sub-ledgers on SAP for EMEA companies and managing the close cycle in accordance with corporate timetable.
  • Month end close on working day 4 according to local and group calendar.
  • Managing a team of 8 staff (i.e. hires, trains, appraises, rewards, motivates, disciplines, etc.).
  • Reviewing entries and reconciliations in general ledger and subledger.
  • Posting journals and approving staff journals above $100K.
  • Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts; submiting accurate reports and analysis on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for managing SOX control area for EMEA Accounting and liaison with internal and external auditors, preparing and reviewing audit schedules as required.
  • Collaborating with other business and support function stakeholders to implement improvements to overall process and procedures.
  • Preparing statutory accounts and liaising with auditors.
  • R&D Calculation.
  • Quarterly US tax calculation.
  • Cash flow and legal entity forecast.
  • All other duties as assigned.

To be considered:
  • Qualified accountant with a university degree. ACA/CIMA/ACCA
  • Demonstrable experience as a qualified accountant with the experience of working in general accounting in complex and multi-currency environments
  • Strong people management experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
