This opportunity is a newly created position, working for a company based in the Chippenham area. You will be reporting directly to the chief operating officer and will be responsible for the day to date management of the fulfilment team. You will be managing this team in all aspects, from recruiting, training, personal development, reviews to well being and overall performance. This department prides itself on exemplary feedback from clients and internal stakeholders, and the successful person will need to uphold this through managing the team and process in an efficient and effective way.

Within the position of team manager, you will be;
*Managing the team on a day to day basis in all elements of people management
*Managing the system data and physical security within departments
*Responsible for Health and Safety within your department
*Reviewing and managing staffing levels to optimum levels for successful delivery of orders during peak times
*Providing annual reports to senior management with department budget information
*Managing the department budget
*Continuously reviewing and adhering to business compliance and industry standards
*Attending and holding regular improvement discussions with other department heads
*Ensuring annual staff appraisals are held and that all staff are clear on their role and objectives
*Coaching and training the team to help with their own personal development and objectives
*Ensuring robust documented Standard Operating Procedures exist for all key aspects of departmental activity (reviewed annually)
*Preparing and presenting monthly report covering all agreed KPI's, department updates and other relevant information
*Directing the team function to ensure that finished goods are of the required standard are available to customers within agreed costs and at the right times

Skills and experience required for this position are;
*Minimum of 5 years experience of managing a team of at least 10 people, you will ideally have some professional management qualifications
*Proven experience of managing budgets and presenting financial reports and updates to senior management
*Strong leadership experience with previous examples of managing a team in all aspects
*Experience of tracking projects/customer orders, quickly recognising and identifying any issues that may compromise delivery
*Ability to find a solution quickly, using any available resource
*Previous experience of managing a variety of projects at varying stages
*Strong relationship building skills with colleagues of all levels
*Experience of developing new concepts and innovations to continually enhance performance

This is a permanent job paying £35,000 per annum in the Chippenham area. The working hours are full time, and you will typically work from 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, although some flexibility may be required in busy times. You will need to have a minimum of 5 years experience in managing a team of at least 10 people, where you have been responsible for all aspects of team management. The client is ideally looking for someone to start asap, however please do not be put off if you have a notice period to serve.
