In this role you will be working with a friendly, welcoming and professional team to provide an outstanding payroll bureau service for numerous clients varying in size and complexity.

You will need to have experience doing frequency payrolls - (weekly, fortnightly, quarterly, monthly & annually), as well as excellent Customer Service skills with day to day Client Interaction to ensure that any queries are dealt with in a fast past professional manner.

Day to day duties to include:

• Handling telephone calls/emails, dealing with routine queries and referring them to colleagues as appropriate.

• Assisting in the setup of new payrolls including set up of PAYE schemes with HMRC, pension schemes with the appropriate pension provider and set up within Iris (previously STAR) payroll software

Processing payrolls that will be assigned to you and assisting the team with payrolls as and when necessary including but not limited to: Calculation of statutory additions/deductions.

• Managing the full end to end process.

• Having the ability to check system calculations by manually calculating Tax and National Insurance, Student Loans etc.

• Dealing with the administration of the payrolls when applicable such as post, emails.

• Provide excellent customer service to clients, replying to telephone calls/ emails in a reasonable manner and timeframe

• Undertaking training and development relevant to the job role

• Liaising with third parties as and when necessary i.e. HMRC and TPR

• Managing your workload accordingly, prioritising when necessary

• Administrating auto enrolment pension schemes when applicable

• Processing CIS returns for clients on a monthly basis

• Any other ad hoc duties in line with the job post.

• Good IT skills - comfortable with Microsoft application including Word and Excel

• Ability to deal in a polite and professional manner at all times

• Attention to detail

• Ability to manage workload / prioritise accordingly

• Communicate within the payroll team and firm

Qualifications:

• CIPP Qualified desirable

• Strong academic background
