This is fantastic opportunity for an experienced Banking Paralegal to join a global law firm in their Manchester office. The successful candidate will join this successful & well-regarded banking team and provide support to fee earners with a variety of tasks.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and the preparation of case summaries
  • Assisting with transaction completion activities
  • Being the first point of contact, dealing with enquiries wherever possible and taking detailed messages to be communicated to the file handler
  • Ensure filing systems and other information systems are maintained to the firm's standard
  • Assisting with transaction completion activities
  • Using the Case Management system on a daily basis and use of standard documentation
  • Participate in meetings with clients, taking notes and preparing summaries or minutes of meeting
  • Post-closing follow up
  • Draft legal instruments and correspondence
  • Aid with the set up and organisation of training documents/presentations
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of all practice and client documentation
  • Ensuring all documents comply to company style and standards
  • Administrative work (post completion)
  • Generation of banking documentation.

Person specification:
  • Previous experience within a Banking/Corporate Paralegal capacity
  • Strong understanding of legal practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication ability
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to the role
  • Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressure.
