Our client is an undoubted leader in its field and a globally recognised institution. Working out of their modern Liverpool based offices, they are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join their Finance department, reporting directly to senior management, in what is an exciting and varied role including exposure across the entire organisation, with responsibilities including:

  • Finance Business Partnering - engage with the wider business in training & supporting non-finance staff regarding financial controls & procedures
  • Ensuring robust and transparent financial control and compliance
  • Daily treasury management
  • Ensuring all transactions are in accordance with VAT / tax legislation and recorded correctly
  • Monitoring actual capital expenditure to budget
  • Maintenance of the asset register
  • Preparation and delivery of monthly reports to senior management and board members
  • Development of processes and systems to improve efficiency and data quality
  • Various / ad-hoc project work as required by the business

Our client wants to consider applicants who are Qualified Accountants, ideally ACCA or ACA. Applicants must have previous experience of financial accounting, such as financial/treasury management & reporting, and have previously operated in a similar profile role within a fast paced working environment. As the role involves liaising with a variety of teams, you must have strong communication skills and will have confidence and credibility when dealing with non-finance budget holders. Strong MS Excel skills are essential due to working with large, detailed data sets.
