Becoming a Pensions Technician with Capita Life & Pensions International:

Capita Life & Pensions International are currently seeking a Pensions Technician to support a highly reputable Financial Services organisation in Belfast.

Working on one of our key contracts with a leading life & pensions provider, you will provide specialist expertise to ensure key scheme events are completed in line with procedural and client requirements and within service level agreements and to provide a continually improving level of service in terms of quality, cost and time.

What you will do:
  • Process transactions to agreed service levels adhering to the principles of Treating Customer Fairly, and where relevant within agreed financial authority limits.
  • Contact customers by telephone, e-mail, fax or letter to efficiently resolve queries adhering to the principles of Treating Customer Fairly.
  • Deal with customer data, ethically, compliantly and in accordance with FSA requirements.
  • Check the work of others where appropriate to ensure that standards of accuracy, clarity and financial integrity are maintained and designated authority limits are adhered to.
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve processes and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Support and take an active role in service improvement initiatives/projects as required.
  • Assist management team, including collation of supporting Management Information, where appropriate with daily tasks.

Your experience will include:
  • Previous experience of working in Financial Service within a regulatory environment.
  • Good knowledge of relevant products, systems and processes, including up-to-date knowledge and recent experience of pensions products would be an advantage.
  • Good communication and mathematical reasoning skills (5 GCSEs or equivalent).
  • Customer focussed and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work in a pressurised environment.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
