A fresh and dynamic nursery based in South London has an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Assistant Nursery Manager to join their team based in South Norwood.

With a happy and wonderful team who work very hard for the children in their care, they are looking for a committed and passionate Assistant Nursery Manager who really wants to influence the vision and direction of the nursery.

The role requires the individual to hit the ground running and take the nursery to great heights through quality and innovation.

About the role:
  • Planning and delivering effective daily management of the nursery, in accordance with Company policy, all relevant legislation, and local authority and OFSTED requirements
  • Ensuring the provision is of the highest quality with the agreed safety standards
  • Providing a safe, stimulating and caring child-centred environment catering for the children's educational and developmental needs
  • Supporting the Nursery Manager with recruitment and overall management of all childcare and staff
  • Liaising closely with parents/carers to ensure high levels of involvement and customer satisfaction at all times
  • Stepping up to manage the Nursery in the Manager's absence

About you:
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards and experience of inspection
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Strong people management skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Achievement orientated
  • Commitment to excellence
  • Ability to work autonomously using initiative with minimal close supervision
  • Well organised, strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities
  • Enjoy working collaboratively as a member of a team
  • Proactive, flexible and receptive to change
  • Resilience, i.e. maturity, ability to cope with pressure and difficult people
  • Willing to acquire new skills and undertake further training when necessary
