I am working with the Engineering Manager of one of my clients & who is urgently looking to recruit a Project Manager - CCTV Systems based in either Hampshire or Wiltshire .

My Client is an innovative and well-respected supplier of IT and telecommunications services, solutions and products, integrated turnkey technology solutions, and the delivery of proactive and reactive technical services. The strength of their business derives directly from the enthusiasm, expertise and tenacity of its team which is experienced in delivering and supporting mission critical services and systems within the public sector, utility, defence and blue light markets.

Summary Overview:
  • The Operations team has responsibility for the delivery of the Company's solutions and services to customers and internal projects via teams of project managers, technical architects, consultants and engineering teams.
  • This Project Manager role is critical to the continued delivery of successful projects to external customers.
  • The role is responsible for coordinating project tasks and activities, monitoring and maintaining progress, stakeholder management and reporting on key aspects across the project life cycle.
  • This is a key delivery role and the holder will be expected to take complete ownership and accountability for the delivery of assigned standard and complex projects, ensuring they are delivered to agreed controls that realise the documented benefits.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Use a high level of knowledge and experience of projects to deliver large, complex, mission- critical, enterprise-level projects with the appropriate level of planning and to provide the right balance of agility, predictability and pragmatism.
  • Deliver an effective requirement gathering capability using structured principles that is aligned to customer and contracted business benefits, minimising the need for unplanned and non-recoverable project extensions.
  • Champion planning, control and the targeted use of Prince 2 elements to achieve agreed customer and business benefits. Implement project planning techniques that assist the delivery team by resolving conflict and removing blockers to expected progress and quality outcomes.
  • Responsible for organising and motivating the project delivery team comprising matrix managed, multi-disciplinary and highly skilled resources.
  • Drive engagement activities to shape and unify the delivery team and customers across projects; building stakeholder buy-in around plans, processes, commitments and change.
  • Report progress, change, issues, dependencies and risks to the senior leadership team and make recommendations to influence decision making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation.
  • Responsibility for ensuring a high-quality technical outcome for projects and solutions by adhering to project life cycle phases and underpinning Company standards and best practice frameworks.
  • Provide subject matter expertise.
  • Collaborate with service delivery colleagues to ensure project deliveries are transitioned into the service or support environment in a controlled and anticipated manner that maintains customer expectations and meets contracted metrics.

Key Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge:
  • 3+ Years delivery of project management across multiple projects and in a multi-client environment.
  • Qualified at Prince 2 Practitioner or with APM, PMI equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience of working in an ITIL aligned environment (ITIL v3 Foundation desirable).
  • Appreciation of the application of 1st
  • Knowledge of working with a Vendor Neutral Systems/Solutions Provider.
  • Design of CCTV systems (IP Addressed + SCADA ... frequently using Siemens equipment).
  • Knowledge of 'Legacy' (PDH/SDH ... Access Control) systems desirable.
  • Significant proportion of Company business is derived from Renewables & Offshore Wind Farms.
  • No barriers likely to prevent you from satisfying SC Clearance.

Pay & Benefits:
  • Basic Salary (Permanent) £45,000 - £55,000 p.a.
