We're currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join the team based in Belfast. You will accountable for the taking the lead in the completion of the financial accounts, month-end and preparation of the annual statutory accounts in an efficient and effective way.

What you'll be doing...
  • To co-ordinate completion of Financial Accounts, month end tasks, including monthly P&L and balance sheets provided in a timely manner and to the timeline required
  • Review of key balance sheet reconciliations in line with established NSL processes, within company deadlines
  • Provision of annual Target Cost Schedule Accounts, liaising with external auditors.
  • Provide accurate and reliable monthly accounts within company deadlines
  • Review and report total balance sheet reconciliations highlighting risks and opportunities for the business
  • Deal with external relationships /suppliers that are of a financial nature and develop those relationships in a positive fashion and for the benefit of the contract
  • Test existing financial controls and make recommendation to improve internal control process
  • Reviewing and analysing CAPEX management
  • Working with the Client to provide accurate and timely financial information in addition to providing transparent financial accountability for the contract
  • Managing the financial performance of the contract in line with the Target Cost Schedule (TCS)
  • Providing accurate and timely ad hoc costings to the client for work that sits outside the TCS
  • All other ad hoc finance related tasks that may be required of the role
  • Carry out all invoicing requirements
  • Aged Debt analysis
  • Completing annual Budget and monthly forecasting
  • Completion of Client Fund reconciliations, revenue transfers and bank reconciliations
  • Working closely with NSL's Finance Team to ensure all contractual financial requirements are completed in compliance with company procedures
  • Analysing monthly accounts to identify improvements and efficiencies
  • To acquire an operational overview of the contract to enhance post holders understanding of the requirements of the business

What you'll need...
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with sound knowledge of IFRS and experience of preparing and interpreting financial statements
  • An understanding of accounting audit issues and control framework
  • Working knowledge of general ledger packages
  • Organised approach to handling, documenting and presenting data
  • Good analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to the production of statutory financial statements
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written with ability to summarise complex information into concise reports.
  • Experience in managing relationships with external suppliers, clients and service providers
  • An inclusive management style that seeks to instil the performance and behavioural culture required for a demanding and challenging environment
  • Excellent presentational and interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate and engage at all levels within the organisation
