Zachary Daniels are partnered with a well established import and distribution company based near Wakefield who are looking to recruit an Import Merchandiser. Strong in the marketplace, they offer unique and exclusive products, ideas and concepts supplying range solutions to the the retail market.

The role requires a good knowledge of excel and in turn you will be tasked with ordering and keeping products in stock by producing reports, analysing sales information and placing orders with our suppliers to achieve 100% availability. Experience of managing a critical path is essential and previous stock management experience in an office environment would be an advantage.

Role responsibilities
  • Analysing weekly stock reports on excel, track sales and order patterns, accurate forecasting and number of week's stock holding for the business
  • Accountable for the delivery of the critical path for product ranges and closely manage the critical path from placement to delivery.
  • Using strong analytical skills to forecast product demand and calculate the order levels required.
  • Raising purchase orders, checking factory despatch dates and shipping lead times.
  • Responsible for product availability levels whilst staying within strict stock level targets.
  • Responsible for managing orders so that the open to buy budget is not exceeded.
  • Supporting the sales team to build strong relationships with clients including holding regular face to face meetings.
  • Dealing with Stock queries and resolveany issues which may affect the timely delivery of product orders.
  • Work withthe NPD team on range development, ensuring orders are placed on time for launch dates.
  • Manage customer orders ensuring all queries are answered and issues are resolved.

To be successful in this role you will need to be highly organised and able to manage a varied workload to tight timescales. Excellent attention to detail is essential for all aspects of this role and you will need to de diligent and numeric to look and work closely with forecasting of products.
