I am currently recruiting a Senior Accountant on a temporary to permanent basis. This is working for a growing property management company based in East London close to Canary Wharf Station.

Client Details

My client is a fast growing international technology company based in East London. They were established in 1991 and since have grown consistently year on year. More recently they have made a number of acquisitions in London and internationally and now expect rapid growth in 2019.

Due to this expansion they are now looking to hire a Senior Accountant on a temporary to permanent basis. This will be an initial temporary assignment for 6 months. The role will be based in their offices in London.

Primary responsibilities relate to the UK subsidiary companies in EMEA, and include organising and preparing the monthly accounting and payrolls, reconciling and analysing financial statements and review of financial. The role also encompasses operational financial support and ad hoc project work to support growth organically and through acquisitions.

* Prepares/finalises accounts for Ireland subsidiary
* Manages external provider for accounts for other subsidiaries
* Manages payroll for EMEA subsidiaries.
* Meet deadlines for month-end close cycles, including review and explanation of variances
* Analyse Balance Sheet and Income Statement Accounts.
* Manages routine reporting and supports audit/financial statement/tax return preparation.
* Generates and maintains Excel models/ spreadsheets, reconciliations or other reports as requested by management.
* Provides financial operational support to department heads.
* Assists with budgeting, cash flow analysis, audit work, compensation plans, contract review, or any other project as needed, including assistance with integration's of future acquisitions.
* May provide work direction to accounting team members.


The successful candidate MUST be immediately available and can interview / start at short notice.

5-7 years of hands-on accounting experience, including month end reporting payroll and audit support.
3-5 years' experience within a service oriented industry, Experience of overseas accounting is desirable.
Familiarity with UK accounting standards and GAAP.
Accountability/support to operational management.
Experience of finance projects / integration's is desirable.
Ability to develop processes, recommend and implement process changes

Minimum part qualified in CIMA or equivalent, with intent to continue through to qualification.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardisation exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Advanced proficiency in MS Excel. Great Plains experience desired.

Strong communication skills, oral and written. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, customers, vendors, etc. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Job Offer

The successful candidate will be paid between £20-23 per hour depending on experience.
