My client is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the UK and are committed to providing products and services of the very highest quality. I am currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their growing team.

The Role
You will be part of the Financial Accounting department where you will facilitate the current and future accounting for affiliate companies ahead of their expected sale. The Finance Manager - Revenue & Intercompany will be the shared services interface with operational and finance teams to develop processes that will ensure billing, recording, and collection is in line with TSA agreements.

  • Set-up a shared service processes for accurate billing and revenue recording for third party affiliates (expected to be c.EUR 500m per annum);
  • Identify and settle all intercompany relationships with affiliate companies ahead of their expected disposal;
  • Identify and drive process improvement and simplification in existing processes;
  • Provide regular and detailed insight into revenue and third-party accounts to stakeholders; Technical accounting - provide technical solutions to intercompany mismatches.

Experience and Qualifications Required
  • Professional Accountancy qualification (ACA; ACCA etc) with at least 1 to 3-year PQE. Knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP, IFRS and SOX control framework.
  • Experience of working in a complex and fast paced environment, delivering to deadlines. Preferably in large corporate structures and/or international organisation.
  • Strong excel, financial systems and account preparation software skills (eg. Oracle, Hyperion/HFM, Caseware)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Technical Experience
  • Financial Statements (external reporting) - Reviews general financial accounting concepts, procedures and methods.
  • Effective Transaction Recording - creating, approving, and posting financial transactions-including manual, automated, recurring, ad-hoc, to the general ledger.
  • Analyse and Reconcile Accounts - reconciliation of financial accounts to external sources.
  • Close Books - Applies month-end and year-end close and consolidation concepts and processes.
  • Consolidate Financial Results - To enable a company to close its books and consolidate financial results in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Technical validation - Validating accounting and reporting against technical standards.
  • Process Excellence - Delivers and/or supports to deliver high quality output, identify process improvement opportunities and ensure effective resource utilisation.

Day Rate
£300 per day
