Mirus IT Solutions is a business computer Services Company based in Milton Keynes founded by Paul Tomlinson in 2002. The main focus of Mirus it to provide IT support in London, Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. You will be part of a committed IT Services company providing high quality IT services. The aim is to provide the level of support a business would expect to receive from an internal IT team.


You will be an engineer joining the Service Operations team and responsible for managed back-ups and non-managed back-up solutions. Primarily this is for our Datto and Datto SAAS solutions.

The wider team comprises of engineers who all specialise in providing additional managed services to our customers such as AV, Patching, Reporting and other customer focused tools to improve our overall service provision. The team are also responsible for the ongoing support and strategic development of our RMM tool (ConnectWise Automate).

You will be working with team colleagues and customers resolving service tickets, conduct pre-installation site surveys, conduct on-site installations / removals and you will own the overall Datto solutions for Mirus and our customers.

For this you will have:
  • A minimum of two years experience in a 2nd line technical support position supporting SME's;
  • An understanding of back-up solutions and technologies;
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting Microsoft OS at both workstation and server level.;
  • Be used working to meet SLA's.

Desirable skills include:
  • An understanding of Datto as a solution;
  • Able to train others in use of systems
  • Excellent understanding of Active Directory including user management and GPO's
  • Good working knowledge of network infrastructures;
  • Experience of working within an IT Managed Service Provider.

Interview Process:
  • First stage: 30 minute to 45 minute technical telephone interview with one of the Mirus IT Senior Engineers;
  • Second stage: Will be a Skype video interview with the Head of Service Operations;
  • Third stage: Is a face-to-face interview with Head of Service Operations and a member of the Mirus IT Senior Management Team. There will be a test as part of this stage.
  • Final stage: This is offer and agreement of a start date. Start day is usually a Monday @ 09:30 dependent on your availability.
