A UK wide renewable energy business is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to oversee the operations of two to three of its nationwide plants. You will be the number one finance person on site with the responsibility to make the big decisions and drive efficiency, bringing new ideas to the table in order to improve profitability. You will also be a tasked with delivering high-level strategic objectives through strong business-partnering and support.
With this, the business looks to reward its top performing employees through bonuses, further growth within your role and ultimately work towards promotion.

This is a unique opportunity to be a part of an ambitious young business that continues to make waves within the industry. You will have a key role to play in helping them go international and will have full ownership for all management & financial reporting on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis (including KPIs) for inclusion into the group reports. You will also be responsible for coordinating and managing the budgeting process, and regular reforecasting as well as financial planning and cash-flow forecasting.

Ideally, you will:

• Be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) with post-qualified experience covering a broad spectrum (including financial analysis, controls, operational finance, commercial finance, business partnering, financial reporting, etc.)
• Demonstrate instances in which you have provided support of a financial nature to non-finance in order to effect change & improvement to processes and controls, as well as exerting influence to encourage desired behaviours and decisions
• Be a strong communicator who enjoys engaging with stakeholders across business and have the confidence to come forward with value added alternatives
• Have excellent IT skills, capable of manipulating large sums of data via excel and experience of working in an ERP system would be favourable
