Trainee Insurance Advisor

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Salary: £16,912.50 increasing to £17,937.50 after reaching full competency

Location: Chelmsford

Ensure all in-bound and out-bound calls are handled in accordance with company procedures. Contribute to the department in delivering the Claims Operations business plan in accordance with own responsibilities to meet business growth targets.

  • Work within the parameters of the agreed business plan for Claims Operations
  • Work within agreed processes in order to deliver the business plan in line with the Claims Operations policy
  • Provide support to the Team Leader by ensuring delivery of own performance against agreed objectives, KPI's and SLA's
  • To deal with a wide range of Total Loss telephone enquiries, providing advice and recording information
  • Process New Repair Claims in accordance with claims philosophy
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure delivery of customer service
  • Additional administration duties as required
  • To match unreferenced post to relevant claims, Adhere to FSA, TCF and Data Protection Regulations

  • Excellent customer service and communications skills
  • Demonstrate a calm and professional attitude at all time
  • Ability to listen, identify and resolve customer issues
  • Good data inputting skills
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Willingness to develop self and new skills
  • Where applicable, to adhere to Company processes with regard to FCA compliance and Treating Customers Fairly
  • Where applicable, to ensure that DPA, FCA, TCF and other regulatory requirements are met

  • An understanding of Motor claims calls
  • Experience in the Insurance industry
