System Development Officer (12 month FTC) required in Nottingham paying up-to £32,000.

Do you have experience in systems development and technology? Are you enthusiastic about business transformation and innovation? If so, we are recruiting for a Systems Development Officer to join the team to contribute to the continued success of the business transformation department.

You will provide knowledge, expertise and support for our key business applications, managing the business applications lifecycle including custom developed, as well as corporate-wide or specialist applications. You will work closely with others to support the overall applications architecture and engage with various departments across the business to ensure a joined up service and to deliver training for the company as and when required. You will offer expertise and business knowledge on optimising applications to drive change within the organisation.

You will bring knowledge of housing applications such as Northgate, DRS, 1st Touch and ROCC as well as an understanding of business transformation. Experience in systems development and technology - including databases, web and integration - would be beneficial as would knowledge of SQL development. In addition, you will be highly PC literate, with the ability to use a wide range of MS Office programmes, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Visio.

The role requires the candidate to show effective communication skills, with the ability to liaise with external suppliers, partners and key stakeholders in order to effectively deliver complex changes. You will show high levels of accuracy to prepare, interpret and present complex reports to senior management and the board when required. As part of your role you will work using your initiative, where you will be responsible for effective resource management, adhering to regulations and always looking for the best value for money in the projects you undertake.
