2nd Line Service Desk Engineer - 3-6 months - Luton

A requirement has arisen for a senior 2nd Line Service Desk Engineer in Luton on a 3 to 6 month contract, my client is ideally looking for someone with an MSP/IT Services background. Please see general details below:

Day Duties:
  • Provide 2nd level support to high calibre customers and personnel
  • Proactively help resolve helpdesk tickets
  • Create and regularly update customer documentation
  • Ensure that incidents are resolved in a timely manner to meet defined SLAs
  • Work with Senior Engineers on various projects where required
  • Participate as a project resource as and when required
  • Provide excellent Customer Service to all customers
  • Help your colleagues in the Technical Support Team where required

Required Skills & Experience
  • Can do attitude and going the extra mile, willingness to learn and improve
  • 2nd Line Customer Support Experience in a busy environment
  • Client OS windows 7/8/10 Support
  • Experience of upgrade and rebuilding desktops/laptops/servers and imaging
  • Experience of supporting standalone and network printers
  • Some experience of Active Directory Administration (DNS/DHCP, AD User, and NTFS Security)
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and documentation skills
  • Experience of supporting remote/VPN users
  • Knowledge and some experience of Office365 Administration
  • Knowledge of Backup Technologies (Symantec, Cloud Backup)
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
