Our client, an online retailer based just off junction 28 are looking to recruit an IT Systems Administrator to join their busy IT department.
The main purpose of the role to provide first level support and maintenance duties on user's workstations, desktop applications and ensuring users IT equipment and operational at all time. As well as having an active role in creating and maintaining Business Intelligence reporting systems.

Responsibilities include
• To understand network infrastructures.
• To install and maintain new workstations, printers and ad-hoc equipment to the network.
• To have the basic knowledge of IP address classes, DHCP and DNS systems.
• To have the ability to manage and maintain Windows operating systems.
• To carry out periodic workstation checks.
• To offer first line support to users on day to day workstation issues.
• To carry out diagnostic checks of centralised managed systems including anti-virus, anti-malware, and the deployment of signature updates.
• Ensure that user's equipment is correctly configured, cables are secure and working efficiently.
• To have a basic knowledge and the ability to resolve issues with desktop applications.
• To play a key role in the day to day system operations of the business.
• To assist user's requirements via remote log in.
• To report any second level support issues to the IT Manager.
• To participate in projects with the IT Manager.
• To be involved in Business Intelligence reporting and the ability to create various reports.

The successful candidate must
• Must be proficient in SQL programming and understand database structures.
• Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and Outlook.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Dynamics Nav would be an advantage.
• Knowledge in Business Intelligence systems would be an advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Hours of work are 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
Offering a competitive and negotiable salary dependant on experience from £21,000.
