Bonfire Recruitment is retained with a multi-disciplined engineering consultancy in the recruitment of a permanent quality focused Project Manager for an exciting project management opportunity who will manage multiple high value bespoke engineering projects across the world from their modern offices in South Yorkshire, UK

Our multi-faceted EPC client has an opportunity for a driven and APM qualified engineer who has demonstrable working experience within heavy industry such as Process, Chemical, Utilities, Mining, Aggregates, Minerals, Water or similar.

The purpose of this exceptional role is to lead and manage your discipline specific, highly capable project engineering teams through a journey of ensuring projects of a variety of scales are completed on time, to specification and within budget consistently.

You will be the focal point for all project management communication from the client and associated work scopes and you will lead your team to ensure projects are governed effectively.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Create and develop new project management systems relating to project status and project progress reporting
  • Review and ensure proper entry of clear, well defined, correctly priced and technically acceptable orders into administration and engineering systems
  • Identify and ensure contractual deliverables are met ensuring team has correct processes in place
  • Maintain relations with customer's purchasing, expediting, engineering and inspection personnel
  • Present timely, accurate invoicing, both on products shipped and according deferred payment schedules and to assist in timely collection of money
  • Develop new systems related to status and progress reporting of orders within the plant for financial data and for providing to customers
  • Liaise internally and externally for information and co-ordinate information flow in both directions between the customer and the company, as well as their suppliers
  • Focus on the safe and efficient use of people, equipment, materials and controls to the best possible advantage
  • Ensure margin and cash flow enhancement through budget control, correct invoicing and on time payment by customers

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management is preferred; or equivalent combination of time served engineer with appropriate project management experience.
  • Have at least 5 years demonstrable project engineering experience working with highly complex international projects
  • Have at least 4 years demonstrable project management experience in an engineering environment
  • Qualified Project Management Professional PMP, APM certification preferred.
  • Have project managed projects in excess of £5m+
  • Have experience within land based site projects ideally within Chemicals, Process, Minerals, Aggregates , metals , utilities etc.
  • Experience handling customers and internal stakeholders professionally throughout the project lifecycle
  • Experience with engineering layout operations and compliance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
