Riddell Project Management is a Dunfermline based Construction Consultancy which has been operating in the UK market for almost 30 years.The Company has become a market leader in the provision of Operation & Maintenance Manuals and related Building Manual documentation including M&E O&M Manuals and Online O&M Manual Information Systems

We wish to recruit an experienced Technical Author/Technical Writer with a proven track record in the production of Mechanical & Electrical O&M Manuals, Building Log Books, Building User Guides, Operation & Maintenance Manuals for a variety of industries.

You will preferably be Professionally Qualified and be able to demonstrate your ability, when required, to undertake a Leadership Role in the Management of O&M Manual production on large projects.You must be able to demonstrate an ability to work within an overall Production Team and provide assistance to others when required.

Our Company is accredited to ISO 9001 and the successful candidate must be capable of FastTrack learning and adapt to our Processes and Procedures.This position is full-time working 37.5-hour week and is on the basis of a permanent contract including well-established Life Cover and Pension Scheme, Performance-Related Bonus System in operation and other benefits.

1.Client Interfacing and Co-ordination - be responsible for co-ordinating and communicating with Senior Client Staff throughout the project period and reporting to Clients and Riddell PM Senior Management.

2.Individual Work Plan - be responsible for managing, controlling and updating own Work Plan and to ensure jobs are delivered on time, snag-free and 100% complete at time of delivery.

3.Production of O&M Manual Templates - Riddell PM has its own O&M Manual Templates which are used regularly, however, you will be responsible for the creation of new O&M Manual Templates which are required to satisfy individual Client and Project requirements.

4.Communications - liaise by telephone, email and letter with Clients and Sub-Contractors - to obtain project data for Manuals.Must be completely confident and proficient in this area and demonstrate experience.

5.Quality - be responsible for checking your own work and the work of others to Company and ISO 9001:2015 standards

6.Site Visits to Projects - undertake Site Visits to meet with Client's site based staff regarding O&M Manual Projects.Full driving licence required.

7.Status and Progress Reports - produce regular Status and Progress Reports and issue to Clients

This position would be suitable to those with an Engineering background, qualified to Degree or HND level.This position would also be suitable to those with a Trades background.
