They've assembled some of the finest minds in software, engineering, AI and robotics and they're now looking for enthusiastic Mechanical Robotics Engineers to join their newly created Robotics Factory team. Our client is creating an entirely new approach to manufacturing and as such, they need people who think differently.

They are pushing the boundaries of technology, working without legacy and creating innovative technology by novel means.

Key elements of your role will span:
  • Build, assembly, test and maintenance of grippers, tools, fixtures, appliances, parts, prototypes.

Responsibilities:
  • Owner of grippers, tools, fixtures at robotic factory
  • Build and assembling prototypes of tools, grippers and fixtures in accordance with drawings and specifications from partners and developers using components Festo, Shunk, SMC, ATI and etc
  • Provide and control pre-production testing and implementation of new equipment
  • Provide, operate, and control process of productive use of grippers, tools, fixtures
  • Organize, control and oversee of fabricate of industrial specimen of tools, grippers and fixtures
  • Drive all activities related to ensuring new equipment is built to specification.
  • Analyse appliance and mechanisms after testing and trial operation; select technologies to produce industrial specimens, creates recommendations related to improvement efficiency of tools, fixtures, grippers.
  • Provide of complex electro-mechanical assemblies meeting stringent performance, reliability and manufacturability requirements
  • Analysis, prototype and test of proposed design changes to provide statistical evaluation of devices performance and other characteristics
  • Fabricate and assembly prototypes of product's parts to provide testing and trial operations
  • Mechanical/electrical set up and adjustments of tools, grippers, fixtures and other equipment to production process.
  • This Engineer will have a focus on device reliability
  • Evaluate and control of the effectiveness, reliability and productivity of new solutions
  • Provide equipment maintenance, performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed
  • Perform/provide repair including Mechanical/electrical troubleshooting on assembly equipment
  • Maintain inventories of productive grippers, tools, fixtures and etc
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  • Collaborate with other engineering partner's teams

Expertise:
  • B.Sc (Master's or higher-level education degree is preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or related technical discipline with a focus on robotic, mechatronic or automation systems
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Mechanical Engineer role, electromechanical design and in robotic solutions and environment
  • Understanding of principle of Flexible Industry
  • Primarily expertise in robotic tooling, fixtures, mechatronic systems
  • Experience in mechanical components selection
  • Hands-on mechanical assembly work
  • Thorough understanding of the principles of automated handling tools, electronics, equipment function, operation, maintenance and repair
  • Solid understanding of the principles used in electro-pneumatic systems, multi-axis robotic systems
  • Experience in the design, assembly and maintenance of a variety of electromechanical tools and fixtures
  • Experience in metal-working, mechanical-working and 3D printing.
  • Experience with CAD design tools
  • Strong mechanical, and general electro-mechanical knowledge
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • The ability to lift 40 pounds and move equipment up to that weight
