Job Description

Contract Type: Temporary for 1 year

Interview Date: Monday 27 May 2019

To deliver classes to community use customers. The instructor will be expected to plan and programme recreational gymnastics sessions and deliver this to the customers whilst supervising the group and adhering to the facility Normal Operation Procedures and Emergency Action Plans.

Deliver fun and innovative sessions to children of all abilities

Utilise continuous assessment methods to observe, analyse and record progress of participants.

Promote the Community Use Programme

Operate in accordance with the organisation guidelines, policies and procedures.

Observe operational and health and safety procedures to ensure appropriate management of vulnerable groups.

Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

The Individual

It is essential that the applicant has:
  • The appropriate qualification: UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification in General Gymnastics or equivalent.
  • Ability to teach / deliver to all levels of ability
  • Good levels of customer care.
  • Able to work alone and as part of a team.
  • Good level of Interpersonal and Communication skills.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, punctual and motivated person who is confident working with the public and in a team. Leisure environment experience is desirable with flexibility and good organisational skills.
