Woodrow Mercer are currently partnered with a global organisation in Birmingham City centre who are looking for a Payroll Administrator for an immediate start

Main duties and responsibilities:
  • To ensure the monthly payrolls are delivered accurately and on time
  • Dealing with all aspects of payroll processing including starters, leavers, salary increases, adjustments, secondments and pensions
  • Processing changes to employee's data and records (permanent and variable) including P45's, starter checklists, tax codes changes, P6's, Student Loans, AEOs, DEAs, DEOs and voluntary deductions
  • Collating and inputting overtime reports as provided by HR Shared Services
  • Checking and verifying all data input to payroll for processing
  • Issue welcome emails to new joiners, including access to e-payslips/payslip app
  • Dealing with payroll/salary and benefits related queries from current and ex-employees, internal departments, 3rd parties and various governmental bodies including HM Revenue and Customs

Relevant Experience:
  • Experience in the preparation and processing of monthly payrolls
  • A good working knowledge of PAYE/NIC, statutory payments, pensions and flexible benefits
  • Minimum of 2 years payroll experience, ideally within a professional services environment
