Job title: Showroom Manager, Maidstone

Full-time: 5 days per week including one weekend in 3 or 4

Location: Maidstone ME14 5LH

Salary: £20,000 to £23,000 depending on your experience

Bonus: there are also opportunities to add a bonus to your salary each month

Do you love chatting with people?

Love talking about home improvements and kitchens, bathrooms, tiles, worktops etc?

Can you strike up conversations with people visiting a showroom?

And would you enjoy leading the showroom and its team in the Maidstone store?

Your role will be to engage and discuss the opportunities with potential customers and really delight in showing them the quality products and easy kitchen and bathroom design solutions which you can provide.

Developing relationships quickly will be easy for you and so you'll then be able to generate quality leads with potential customers. Your ability to set them at ease and trust your expertise quickly is vital.

You'll also engage with the existing part-time team to improve their skills. This is the first manager we've hired for this showroom and as such, there are no shoes to fill but plenty to be done to add value and improve the current performance and customer experience.

Ideally, you will have experience, personality and skills which fit the following:
  • Management skills from within a retail/DIY/home improvement sector would be ideal, but certainly, you will be a natural leader with a likeable personality.
  • Previous Showroom/Sales/Lead Generation experience is very much needed for this role.
  • Happy to be able to work on your own initiative and keep the showroom looking fantastic.
  • Ability to be proactive with the existing team and support their ability to do well through hands-on training.
  • Excellent communication skills (face to face, telephone and by email).
  • Confident to be able to approach and talk with potential customers around the Kitchen showroom and chat with them about what they're looking for.
  • Being the face of the company and welcoming potential customers/clients is what you love about your job.
  • PC skills (although training will be provided on our internal systems).
  • Good admin skills too.
  • You're looking for a full-time job (between 22-24 hours per week)
  • Able to work one weekend in every three or four

This is a salaried role with a basic salary of between £20-23,000 depending on your current experience. Bonus and performance related pay are also on offer as part of the package.
