Location: South Wales

Hours: 40 per week, Monday to Friday.

The Role:

As part of the Analytics function, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a suite of management reports using Microsoft PowerBI. You will have a key part in providing relevant and insightful information to decision makers helping to drive a data-driven approach within the group.

The role provides an opportunity to work with departments across the whole group with access to information covering an array of financial products. There is plenty of opportunity to make your mark on the business, help shape strategy and drive performance.

Key Duties:

Working both independently and as part of our larger analytics team, your primary responsibilities would be:
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business functions and requirements of management teams throughout the organisation;
  • Leverage company data to create and maintain a robust management reporting suite covering a variety of functions across the group;
  • Issue reports on time ensuring data is consistent and accurate across the report suite;
  • Work closely with Senior Management to develop relevant MI;
  • Query, analyse, interpret and communicate results to Senior Management;
  • Visualise and present complex data tailoring output to the target audience;
  • Aid roll out of the Microsoft PowerBI package across the group;
  • Provide Lead Group Analyst with commercial support - investment appraisals;
  • Provide ad-hoc support to the Executive team - a mix of data sets and visualisations;
  • Reinforce data governance - data integrity, validity and compliance.

  • Analytical and problem solving mind set;
  • Meticulous attention to detail when handling and interpreting data sets;
  • Continuous improvement mind set with an appetite to learn new software packages;
  • Ability to understand and present complex data to appropriate audience;
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Power BI (Preferable);
  • Previous experience producing MI (Preferable);
  • Financial or commercial experience/qualification (Preferable).
