Behaviour Support Worker

Principal Resourcing are recruiting for experienced Behaviour Support Workers to support students who are excluded from mainstream school.

The role is based in an Alternative Education Provider based in Kirklees. The provision caters for both boys and girls, of secondary school age, who have been either temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream education, for various reasons.

You will be required to support the teacher in their lesson delivery and also support the students in their learning. You will be required to either work on a one to one basis or with small groups of students.

Team Teach trained would be beneficial to this role, however free training can be provided, should you be successful in your application.

What you will require:
  • The flexibility to complete a variety of assignments often at short notice
  • Be confident, passionate and highly motivated
  • The ability to model and deliver high standards of learning support
  • The ability to work positively and effectively under pressure, taking note of, and acting on, all issues relating to the wellbeing and safeguarding of children
  • Experience of working with children
  • 2x references
  • A valid DBS on the update service or willing to obtain one
