Our client is a leading finished vehicle logistics company with locations across the UK who specialise in new and used vehicle preparation, logistics and secure storage to the automotive industry. They are currently seeking a Parts Person to join their Parts Department in Sandtoft, Doncaster.

Hours: 8.00am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday

The role:
  • Working in a busy parts department
  • Obtaining part numbers and pricing of parts for all activities, ensuring correct parts are booked on to internal tracking system amd ordered for vehicles.
  • Tracking ordered parts and advising customers of potential delays to service.
  • Correct and safe storage of parts
  • Receiving parts, checking them off and storing them in the correct locations
  • Emailing suppliers and internal departments
  • Ordering stock
  • Prepare parts as requested from the technical and body shop staff
  • Ad-hoc duties as and when required from time to time by the management team.

Essential qualities and requirements:
  • Ideally previous experience as a Parts Person within the Automotive industry
  • Must be able to work under own initiative as well as being a team player
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally
  • Previous experience working within the vehicle service and/or repair industry
  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages
  • Able to deal with large volumes whilst achieving lead times
