As a result of continued growth and expansion, we have an excellent opportunity to appoint Manager with expertise in Engineering in the pharmaceutical industry.

About the job

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage team of engineers to support and maintain the manufacturing and packing operations
  • Manage the Integration of maintenance with production activities to ensure 0 % break-down
  • Ensure Calibration of Equipment is carried out by the engineers to deliver higher product yield
  • Managing the Preventive Maintenance Schedules.
  • Managing Installation and Documentation of new equipment's.
  • Liaison with vendors for machine break-down, product yield improvements
  • To assess all the factors of engineering team to improve productivity and reduce time lost during breakdowns.
  • Liaising with internal department and external vendors for smooth functioning of the department.
  • Monitoring compliance to cGMP procedures.
  • Take responsibility for Staff recruitment/retention and ensure regular training is carried out for the team.
  • Maintain a safe working environment which complies with all aspects of the company's H&S policy.
  • Attending and facilitating regular operational meetings with staff to communicate consistent objectives and performance.
  • Establish, monitor and maintain agreed performance levels for all engineering activity.
  • Maintain and review all procedures for efficiency and continuous improvement in operations
  • Managing Projects and any refurbishment onsite.
  • GEMBA schedules to be adhered to.

About you

  • Strong technical background with a degree in relevant engineering discipline.
  • Experience of managing Engineers in a Pharmaceutical environment, should have handled break-down and preventative maintenance in a highly regulated industry.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Good understanding of the engineering operations in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competent computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel etc.)
  • Ability to embrace change and to drive forward and deliver operating plan objectives.
  • Strong leadership traits and be competent in people management
  • Good organizational and strategic planning skills
