A Project Manager is required by an event management company looking to increase their event portfolio.

The position requires 2 years' plus, experience in project managing business events or communications projects. This position is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company and friendly team working in Maidstone. (Car parking available.)

Main responsibilities:
  • Handling work from contract stage to completion
  • Negotiating costs and allocating space with show organisers
  • Interpreting and configuring floor plans
  • Administering tender procedures for stand contractors and obtaining quotes
  • Liaising with the client on stand design specifications and checking these are meeting compliance requirements, budget and regulations.
  • Assisting clients in preparing their pre-event marketing and logistics planning
  • Sourcing service providers such as AV, freight, catering etc and negotiating costs
  • Providing information and images for directories
  • Acting as a point of communication for clients on the exhibition and services and coordinating information provided by the organisers.
  • Book travel and accommodation for on-site managers
  • Prepare inventory to be shipped to event
  • Ensure the clients' needs are met by service providers
  • Represent the company at various international events approximately 5 times a year
  • Liaise with finance team on costs and budgets
  • Post event analysis
  • Liaise with the sales team to help increase opportunities

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible work ethic
  • Able to take responsibility and work well in a team
  • Good computer skills -MS Office and database
  • Numerate, with a commercial outlook
  • Willing to travel - typically, Europe, US, & Middle East.

The package

C £25,000 - £30,000 salary depending on experience

Private health insurance after 6 months service

Contributory Pension Scheme

20 days holiday, rising to a maximum 25 days, plus bank holidays


Full-time 9 - 5 office hours Monday to Friday with additional hours when travelling.
