Client Details

The client are an innovative, fast paced business who create software solutions, specifically to support the healthcare sector. This role is based in their Sunderland office and they operate a fast evolving, agile environment which would suit a highly organised, dynamic individual.

Description

This role will be varied and you will often have to work to strict deadlines, so flexibility and adaptability are key character traits. Day to day your responsibilities will include:
  • Creating new SQL script to agreed specification
  • Maintaining and improving existing scripts
  • Following defined development processes
  • Performing adequate developer testing of scripts
  • Ensure SQL code is safeguarded against loss and follow established disaster recovery policy
  • Publishing and maintaining SQL script repositories
  • Working well within the team and pro-actively addressing any issues arising
  • Working to agreed timescales
  • Author and maintain user guides, installation instructions and other project documentation as necessary

Profile

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, highly motivated Data Analyst with a passion for excellence and attention to detail. Must be able to communicate at all levels of a business and get to the heart of why information matters. From a technical perspective we are looking for the following skillset:

Essential

1. Strong SQL and T-SQL skills (at least 1 years' clear history of using these in a commercial environment)

2. Experience of data analysis.

3. Strong database skills including, SQL Server and Postgres.

Desirable

1. Knowledge of the NHS and primary care clinical systems.

2. Experience in designing software solutions.

3. Familiarity with Agile methodology

4. Experience with big data.

5. Experience of SSIS and ETL.

6. Experience with Firebird, Interbase, MySQL, Oracle.

Job Offer

In addition to the core salary (£28-36k dependent on level of experience) the company offer private health care, profit sharing and free parking.
