We are keen to recruit on behalf of a Food Manufacturing client in Andover. For a Senior Production and Commercial Analyst on a permanent full time basis.

The successful candidate will be able to prioritise and plan workloads in a busy environment throughout the day, and have experience in training and supporting new team members around Commercials.

Key duties include:
  • Responsible for producing commercials within the UK and CE markets
  • Ensure protection and apply a proactive approach to margin management (Manage, review and challenge) Last touch point of process so will need to be comfortable filling in the missing gaps and how to close these off to improve process to very tight timescales
  • Ensure P&L available for each live SKU
  • Manage production of quarterly P&L's by SKU to business and their performance over the last quarter
  • Work closely with Financial Analyst who will supports both this role and Cost Controller
  • Review and approve reconciliation of production variance accounts
  • Work closely with Operational teams to understand and drive forward understanding of production variances from works orders and suggest improvements (example consistent wastage of certain ingredients, does this mean the standard cost is incorrect?)
  • Supporting continuous improvement along with providing accurate information whilst maintaining strong financial controls.
  • Easily approachable due to the highly visible role within the business
  • Support the Cost Control team with other duties to be determined

  • Produce accurate internal P&L's for tenders to tight timescales to agreed hurdle rates
  • Manage external pricing of recipes with Key Customers alongside Commercial Team
  • Manage transfer pricing requests internally with other business units
  • Challenge and identify margin reduction "drivers" in submissions
  • Support Commercial team and New Product Development with commercial queries
  • Continuous improvement of pricing process within the business
  • Able to concisely communicate financial information
  • High level of attention to detail and ensuring understanding of data

  • Analysing wastage and building analysis to support % change to build into commercials
  • Own Costing Models ensuring that all inputs are correct and all live updates are flowed through
  • Support Standard cost update
  • Understand key drivers in production account reconciliation and produce summary for IBP process
  • Responsible for reconciling Mix, Production WIP, Std Cost Revalue and Std Cost Rounding on a monthly basis
  • Able to concisely communicate financial information
  • High level of attention to detail and ensuring understanding of data

Essential skills:

· Qualified accountant (ACMA/CGMA)

· A strong understanding of the key cost drivers

· Able to use Excel to a good level to manipulate and handle large data sets

Desirable skills:

· FMCG background

· ERP/AX Dynamics/D365 knowledge
