Now is an exciting time to join a young and rapidly growing company, in the North East of England. They are a leader in the design and development of compound semiconductor devices and MEMS now requires a Senior Engineer to take responsibility of their Device Modelling.

You will join a small and enthusiastic team of Engineers, where your main responsibilities will be the RF Device Characterisation, Device Design, and Foundry Development for the Foundry Processes.

RF Device Characterization includes on-wafer DC and, S-parameters.

Initially working on their latest product, you will quickly become involved in new development projects.

Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you will have a breadth of experience, and insight to provide support to the team in all aspects of product development, as required by the expansion of manufacturing provision.

You will work with a range of technologies, including MEMs, Electronic Devices, Sensors, Photonic Devices and more.

A key requirement, for the product development is documentation and development of design manuals.

To succeed in this role, you should have a flexible approach to working in teams and on your own.

Qualifications:

The Device Modelling Engineer should hold a minimum of a Bachelors Degree, or higher in an Engineering, Physics, Maths or Electronics discipline; plus 2 years commercial experience post-graduation.

Experience:

It is essential that you have worked in a commercial product development environment, working with similar technologies.

A familiarity with RF compound semiconductor device physics is essential.

You should also be familiar with the analysis of modelling device data and extraction of device models; development of small and large-signal compact models and their validation; and implementation of models into MMIC process design kits.

Experience of automated test systems; and RF analogue circuit basics is desirable. Also software development (familiarity with Keysight's ADS and AEL desirable).
