Ganymede are working in partnership with Eon Energy Installation Services to provide contract/self-employed Heating Installation Engineers to install boilers and heating systems in Eon Energy's customers properties.

The Role

You will be working within domestic properties carrying out domestic gas installs for Eon's private customers with occasional work for HHCRO customers.

You will mainly be carrying out a mixture of boiler swaps, boiler conversions and upgrades, working on a schedule of rates for each job. Eon survey all their own installs themselves and provide full design and install information on HHU system prior to all jobs.

Eon Energy - Installation

Eon Energy Installation Services are the operational arm of Eon Energy. Eon are at the early stages of a significant increase in their boiler installation activity for their almost 5 million customers. Eon Energy Installation Services are a nationwide business that will provide all the operational services to Eon Energy's UK customer base.

The Package
  • You will be paid on a schedule of rates. Full rate card supplied. Realistically weekly earnings £1500 to £1800
  • Mileage paid 35p per mile, door to door (receipts required for payment)
  • Customer Service performance bonuses of up to £2000 p/a
  • The full installation pack, boiler, radiators, pipework, will be provided for you
  • Complete installation packs will be collected by the engineer from local Wolseley branch
  • All electrics will be completed for you by Eon's own in-house electricians
  • All rubbish and waste will be collected and disposed of for you
  • All work is planned and scheduled for you
  • This is an open contract with no foreseeable end date
  • Installers can work 3-6 days per week
  • Once out working you will be paid weekly 3 weeks in arrears. We can pay you either direct into your limited company account if you're set up or through a payroll company either: umbrella or UTR.

The Engineer
  • Own Van (ideally no older than 5 years old or in very good condition)
  • Own basic hand tools and flue gas analyser
  • CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1, Gas Safe Registered
  • Excellent customer service skills and good attitude to working with customers
  • Strong heating installations background and able to work on variety of installs
  • Working within a 50-mile radius of your home postcode
  • Install Teams (all members must attend induction)
  • Own Gas Safe registration
  • Own public liability insurance up to £2 million
  • Willing to have a DBS (basic police check)
  • Driving licence
  • Lower Tier Waste Carriers Licence

Induction/Interview process
  • Following successful Telephone Technical Test you will be invited to assessment day.
  • The interview and assessment day will be held by Eon and Ganymede Operations Managers and consists of a technical competency assessment followed by a face to face interview.
  • Successful engineers will then be invited to an Eon/Ganymede Induction week involving SHE and contract introductions, learning Eon's systems and processes and Health and Safety requirements as well as their customer service approach.
  • Induction paid at £100 per day on successful completion of induction and once out working live.
