A great opportunity for an experienced Digital Designer to join a successful, well-respected design team for a company whose success has been nothing short of phenomenal and shows no sign of abating.

Reporting to the Lead Designer, every day will be different as you will be working across a range of sectors. You will be taking a project from initial brief through to completion, brainstorming and creating concepts and wireframes, ultimately through to finished designs which are ready for development and production. As an experienced Digital Designer, you'll have an extensive digital portfolio demonstrating a flair for working across various platforms. As the only Digital Designer, you will work closely with marketing, digital and development teams to produce exciting creative work for a broad range of digital marketing campaigns. Although the majority will be digital work, there may be some offline projects too, so an understanding of print is desirable. You'll need to be able to translate requirements quickly into eye-catching, user-centric designs which can convert prospects into customers.

What we're looking for

Given the creative work this in-house company produces, an agency background would be beneficial as it is very fast paced. You will have had ideally had a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role and will have the ability to translate briefs into high-quality pieces for mobile, tablet, and desktop. Experience in an e-commerce environment would be great too, as we would like to see examples of sales-focused websites that work well across all digital channels. The usual design software packages are a must, you'll need to know Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign like the back of your hand! You'll also need to be au-fait with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Invision, Zeplin, etc., and need to have a good understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and best practices to support SEO and accessibility. You need to be brand and digital savvy, with the ability to pull all parts of a campaign together, and the quality of your work not only needs to be visually sublime but must also be able to reach and resonate with the target audience.

As a person, you must be a confident communicator and presenter, and you'll be the one to influence stakeholders. You'll need to really believe in your ideas and designs, and know that your creations are the best for the business and its customers. Overall, you'll need to have a passion for the design world, an awareness of current trends, and a desire to grow and refine your skills.
