Multi-Skilled Engineers 4 on 4 off Days

As part of our new fully automated investment we are looking for multi-skilled engineers to join the team at our Telford site. You will be part of a high performing team that maintains world class efficiencies and manufactures quality products.

Purpose of the role
The multi-skilled Engineer will be responsible for taking complete technical ownership of the department working as part of a dedicated team that will operate a "self-contained" team philosophy.
You will ensure that high levels of equipment availability are achieved and line operating efficiencies are maximised. The role will provide technical expertise in all aspects of the department and equipment.

Your key responsibilities will include:
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and that safety standards are maintained at all times
• Ensure a high level of equipment availability for the department
• Maximise operating efficiencies across all machines
• Train, assess, coach and support operational staff in all technical aspects of their roles
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and safety standards are maintained at all times
• Identify and implement equipment improvements through the effective use of data sources such as downtime and OEE
• Primary contact for OEM and service suppliers
• Issuing and control of permits for contractor activity
• Development, planning and execution of planned maintenance routines
• Ensure all quality critical equipment is in perfect working order
• Control and management of engineering spends
• Ensure adequate levels of spare parts are available
• Preparation for and support of internal and external audits
• Technical updates for the plant

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge of PLC control systems
• Conversant with pneumatics, hydraulics and inverter control systems
• Knowledge of CI techniques and statistical process control
• Maintenance tools and techniques
• Diagnostic and problem solving skills
• Proactive and dynamic approach to safety
• Strong technical leadership skills
• Ability to work under pressure whilst having a high attention to detail
• Knowledge of customer and consumer requirements
• Drive to achieve results and train and assess others
