We currently have a vacancy for a Client Engineering Team Leader to join the IT Infrastructure & Operations Team which forms part of the wider IT department in the Business Support Group. This role is primarily based at our Buttershaw Campus, Bradford
Salary £39,228-£49,034 DOE, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, Pension, Quarterly bonus, flexible working conditions (city centre leeds location, remote working and Bradford, subsidised gym & restaurant, pension, iphone and laptop)
What is the purpose of the role?As a Client Engineering Team Leader, you will be responsible for aligning resources to help support the delivery of the IT programme of work and maintain the Yorkshire Water portfolio of IT services. You'll do this through the development and management of internal resources, and the exploitation of external partner capabilities. You will be a key contributor to the management team for planning, budgeting, resourcing and other general management activities
Your role will involve managing a team of Client Infrastructure Engineers to introduce new, and maintain our existing portfolio of IT Services. You'll do this by aligning your resource pool according to project and maintenance schedules and individual skill development plans.
You'll also form part of the wider IT Infrastructure & Operations Leadership Team, lead the recruitment of individuals and indentify opportunities for improvement and innovation. You're passionate about the people working for you, and getting the best out of them.
You'll be encouraged to think creatively and collaborate across the wider IT Department to achieve departmental and team strategies, developing your own vision and plan for the engineering team.
You'll be experienced in the field in which your team operates - this includes a broad knowledge of Client IT devices, including laptops, desktops, smartphones and software designed to manage and maintain them, such as Windows 10 OS and SCCM. You'll also understand remote envronments like Citrix & VPNs.
What skills are we looking for?
You will need to communicate with both your team in technical terms and your management team too. It's important you can flip between the two, and get the right level of engagement across both.
