Digital Platform Manager

Northampton based

Initial 3-month contract - Immediate start

We are currently recruiting for one of the UK's leading energy companies for a Digital Platform Manager on an initial 3-month contract. You will be tasked with leading the delivery of the Digital platform by optimising its evolution taking account of the commercial necessities of the business in balance with compliance obligations, requirements for good governance and appropriate technical maintainability and supportability considerations.

Key accountabilities:
  • Work with the Head of Digital Strategy and Business Change to develop the Technical Product Roadmap for the Digital Platform. Establish, run and continuously improve the process to achieve this
  • Monitor progress towards periodic deliveries and communicate progress organising intervention as necessary ensuring that relevant parties are appropriately informed in a timely way
  • Develop costed plans in support of Business Change projects, highlighting risks and dependencies or possible conflicts
  • Develop plans for addressing Technical Debt within the platform as part of the Technical Roadmap
  • Provide technical digital subject matter expertise at TDIA in formulating approaches, subsequently work with the Head of Architecture to develop detailed proposals that ensure compliance requirements continue to be met
  • Own and maintain the top level architectural overview of the Digital Platform
  • Develop and mature processes deployed in support of the management of the platform working across Product Development, IT and the business where these processes have more general applicability
  • Line Management of 2 Business Systems Analysts deployed on the Digital Platform

Knowledge, skills and experience required:
  • Knowledge of digital solutions.
  • Knowledge of the energy supply industry and key business processes to understand the domain that key stakeholders work in
  • Experience of scoping changes at a high-level using input from business stakeholders and digital expertise, to formulate a high-level plans and options
  • Experience of managing digital development projects, to be aware of how to plan, recognise and track risks, and related challenges of allocating resources.
  • Establishing effective relationships with senior stakeholders (Directors, Heads of), and the ability to explain situations clearly, and negotiate outcomes where necessary
