We are currently recruiting for a Store Manager to join our Basingstoke store!

The Store Manager is accountable for efficient operation and profitability of the store. This includes ordering, planning of campaigns and visual merchandising, day to day operations, management of the team and ensuring our customers receive a professional, friendly and timely service at all times. The Store Manager works closely with District Manager to implement strategies to improve sales & productivity in the store.

Key responsibilities:

Creating the Customer Experience
  • Ensure the team fully understands and implements the Flying Tiger Copenhagen concept
  • Enable the team to develop good product knowledge so as to deliver a professional, friendly and timely customer service at all times
  • Ensure the tills are operated with accuracy and payments are taken efficiently and without error
  • Ensure our products are immaculately displayed as per the merchandising guidelines, priced correctly and replenished in a timely fashion
  • Create an enjoyable customer experience by reviewing the whole store on a daily basis to ensure it is full of surprises, engaging, current and maintained with high standards

Driving Store Productivity and Profitability
  • General administration for the store including submission of the daily sales figures, approval of the daily deployment plan and staff rota management and undertake additional tasks as required
  • Accountable for managing your store's profit and loss, ensuring sales deliver against forecasts and salaries remain within budget
  • Maintain relationships with centre management, local authority and other contractors
  • Maximize sales by ordering the right stock for the store and effective stock management
  • Effective management of merchandising by building in variances in daily and seasonal trading, generating store layout plans and visual merchandising planograms for the team to implement
  • Plan and implement the bi-weekly Kamp changes effectively
  • Ensure staffing resource is utilised productively by effective rota planning and accurate staff payments

  • Ensure the team are trained and comply with Flying Tiger Copenhagen's procedures and guidelines
  • Confidently make decisions, solve problems, motivate and manage the team to ensure targets are met and set outcomes are achieved
  • Lead from the front and inspire the team to reach their potential and achieve Flying Tiger Copenhagen's aims and objectives
  • Train and develop the team, recognise success, support internal progression and be proactive in succession planning
  • Lead the recruitment process to build a strong team, delegating to the Deputy Manager as necessary
  • Promptly and diplomatically manage and resolve poor performance or conflict through the appropriate channels
