Covering for a secondment for a fixed term 12 month contract, you'll be employed directly by the business and entitled to the great benefits - 25 days plus 8 bank holidays, 5% matched pension, life assurance, Bupa, staff discounts and £5k car allowance alongside a salary of up to £63,000.

You'll be a Qualified Accountant with experience of business partnering, supply chain finance and production. SAP experience along with manufacturing is essential, ideally FMCG but you'll not be discounted if you don't have this.

One stage interview moving quickly through interview to appointment, you'll need to be available immediately or able to commence on short notice.

The team need someone who has experience of getting stuck in, keeping things ticking and running the day to day.

Reporting to the Finance Director

Direct Reports : 3 - Qualified, 1 remote
The purpose of this role is twofold.

1. To ensure that the Financial Goals for the Supply Chain are clearly set and achieved

2. Support Operations in strengthening and improving efficiency of business processes and reporting
In achieving this the role will:

• Provide business partnering support to the supply chain

• Maintain control over the supply chain monthly reporting

• Manage business asset risks (including valuations, provisions and control procedures)

• Prepare plans and forecasts for each of the supply chain (including profitability and Capital)

• Control the business costing processes
Area of Responsibility Description Timing -
Business Partnering

Provide a business partnering service to the Supply Chain Managers

• Ensuring results and plans can be articulated on a consistent and accurate basis

• Providing analysis for Supply Chain Management (and their teams) to enable insightful decision making and project delivery

• Developing Information at an appropriate level of detail in order that the business can use one set of data to inform the supply chain agenda

• Providing Financial Leadership through participation and interaction with the Factory Management Teams


Control the completion of the Supply Chain Financial Reports

• Control the month end process to (a) provide final results by 4pm Day 2 (b) all reports are completed to format and timescales

• Prepare Month end executive report for review with Senior Management

• Attendance at the monthly Working Review with preparatory analysis of stock, supply chain accrual/prepaids

Per agreed month end timetable

Support to Preparation of the budgets, RFx and YTG forecasts for the Supply Chain to agreed formats and timescales including all necessary analysis and KPIs. (Work in conjunction with Supply Chain Analyst)
Inventory Management

Ensure all inventory is valued at the correct level taking account of stock status, forward demand, risk profile and actualisation valuations and accounting. Prepare a periodic Inventory report for management that highlights key issues and risks requiring action.
Capital Control

• Formalise and Maintain Capital Policies and procedures across the business and ensuring these are adhered to including authorisation, status reports, IFRS16 adoption.

• Ensure capital reviews (existence/impairment/UEL) are prepared to agrees timescales

• Ensure monthly capital reports are published.

Maintain Control over the business costing process including :-

• Ensuring SAP standards are set up in line with the approved costings unless variations are agreed
