Trainer Assessor Children's Residential and Social Care

Salary: £25,740 - £27,452 per annum (Scale S01)

Location: Taunton Campus, TA1 5AX

We are seeing a Trainer Assessor in Children's Residential & Social Care. This is a key role for Bridgwater & Taunton College as the department strengthens and develops links with both health, social care and early year's stakeholders and customers.

We are seeking a Trainer Assessor with an understanding of the skills required in the development of knowledge and skills practice, to join our current Apprenticeship, Early Years, Specialist Teaching and Learning and Health & Social Care Team.The ideal candidate to join our current Health, Social Care & Early Years Team will have strong industry experience, vocational knowledge, an enthusiastic and adaptable attitude to ensure high quality delivery and success for learners. You will have an understanding of leadership and management inclusive of current practice and skills required within a modern care service. You will need to have worked as part of a wider team and have had experience of direct contact with customers and services users in providing high quality and compassionate care services.

The post-holder will fully realise the opportunities across this new department which includes children's residential and social care from levels 3-5. You will need to have worked as part of a wider early years or social care sector and apprenticeships, and have had direct contact with, service users, students and customers in providing high quality services, care and teaching support.

You will be confident in developing and delivering a curriculum that meets the needs of employers and employees in order to provide quality care for children and young people sectors.You will be quality driven, student focused and enthusiastic in order to deliver bespoke training and assessment to a wide range of sector specific customers.

An understanding and knowledge of the environment and experience of core sector skills, knowledge, values and behaviours are desirable.You will have excellent communication skills, an ambitious vision, a passion for teaching and learning and be committed to driving continuous quality improvement.
